One of the best writing coaches I ever had constantly encouraged me to avoid clichés. There’s always a better, and more original, way to make your point. That advice has proven invaluable. Nevertheless, the Universe sometimes communicates in clichés simply because it is easier for people to understand.
At first glance, this image from my morning walk might look like a typical schoolyard litter left behind by kids who haven’t yet learned to take care of the planet. I prefer to see it as a reminder from the Universe that it’s time to “knock the cover off the ball”.
